Is your Teacher Certified?
Is your Kundalini Yoga Teacher / or Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training certified by KRI?
Teaching Kundalini Yoga is more than just a profession. It’s a way of life. To choose a life as a teacher is to have a commitment to work towards living in a positive state of joy, peace and contentment and making the world a happier and peaceful place. The power of teacher’s presence uplifts others and creates positive changes around them and across the world.
Certified Kundalini Yoga Research Institute (KRI) Kundalini Yoga Teachers understand that being qualified is a sacred responsibility. A yoga teacher is privileged to assist students on their unique journeys to self-awareness. Just like in other professions, KRI certified Kundalini Yoga Teachers are held to high ethical and moral standards and students can be assured of a safe and supportive experience during classes. Teachers of Kundalini Yoga in times such as these, where people are suffering from stress, anxiety, mental health disorders and “dis-ease” from modern living, have tools and techniques to help people immediately.
All KRI certified teachers have undertaken the KRI Level One Aquarian Teacher Training Program with KRI certified trainers. This is an extensive professional certification program in Kundalini Yoga and exceeds the standards set by Yoga Alliance. This training is an interactive course in the theory, practice, and skills of a Kundalini Yoga instructor. The training covers all the basics including postures, breathe, meditation, mudras (hand/fingers positions), bhandas (body locks), mantra (chanting), anatomy and chakras.
It also teaches at a deep level how to live consciously with virtues and values of living in harmony with all living creatures. Teachers do projects in the community and learn the understanding of doing selfless service (Seva). They fundraise and work in homeless shelters, prepare food for those living on the streets and pay forward anyway they can. Not to get anything back, but just because they want to assist the world to heal. They live to uplift and unite their community. KRI certified teachers are kind, generous, compassionate and will always do the best for their students.
All graduate KRI teachers take the Teachers oath and sign the Code of Ethics and Professional Standards of a Kundalini Yoga Teacher. This code applies to all Kundalini Yoga Teachers and Teacher Trainers at all levels. You can read our Code of Excellence (which includes the Code of Ethics and Professional Standards of a Kundalini Yoga Teacher) here. No one is exempt from these ethical and professional standards.
Teachers uphold the 10 Rights of a Kundalini Yoga Student with awareness and intention. Learn about the 10 rights of a Kundalini Yoga Student here.
