Conflicts Complaints Resolutions
Being a Kundalini Yoga Teacher is a sacred responsibility. A yoga teacher can be privileged to assist students on their unique journeys to self-awareness. Just like in other professions, Kundalini Yoga Teachers need to be held to a high ethical standard and students must be assured of a safe and supportive experience.
All KRI certified teachers sign the Code of Ethics and Professional Standards of a Kundalini Yoga Teacher. This code applies to all Kundalini Yoga Teachers and Teacher Trainers at all levels. No one is exempt from these ethical and professional standards.
If you are a student or a teacher and you are witness to, are experiencing a problem, or if you feel unsure about something that is happening, please contact us to discuss the situation. We want to build a community where everyone is safe to speak about their experiences and concerns. Please contact the president / chairperson of KYTANZ. Details can be found going to the About tab and then clicking Our Committees. You have a voice and deserve to be heard. Your concern will be kept strictly confidential.
You also have the option of going straight to Ethics & Professional Standards Board. https://epsweb.org/
The EPS office is an important safeguard for all students of Kundalini Yoga. EPS investigates Student and Teacher Complaints and proposes resolutions for circumstances found to be in breach of the Code of Ethics. The approach is never punitive or retaliatory, but is fair and fact-based, serving to protect, uplift, educate, and inspire.
You can read our Code of Conduct (which includes the Code of Ethics and Professional Standards of a Kundalini Yoga Teacher) here.
